GeoPDF Maps is an offline GeoPDF map viewer with live GPS support. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is handled, and which third-party services are used.
Information We Collect
GeoPDF Maps does not require you to create an account and does not collect names, email addresses, passwords, phone numbers, or contact information unless you choose to contact us directly.
The app may access, collect, or process the following information:
- Location data: used to show your current position and direction on the selected GeoPDF map.
- PDF files selected by you: used to display and georeference your map.
- App usage and interaction data: used to understand app functionality, errors, feature use, ads, and subscriptions.
- Crash logs and diagnostics: used to diagnose and fix bugs.
- Anonymous app user identifiers: used for app functionality such as subscription entitlement checks.
- Purchase and subscription status: used to unlock Standard subscription features.
- Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions, and related diagnostics: processed by advertising services as described below.
Location Data
GeoPDF Maps uses your device location to display your position on the map and to provide live GPS navigation features.
Location data is used on your device for map display. GeoPDF Maps does not send your selected PDF maps or your location history to our own server.
The app may request foreground location permission. Location is used while the app is open and the map/GPS features are active. GPS updates may be paused or reduced when the app is in the background to reduce battery use.
Third-party services such as Google AdMob and Mapbox may process approximate location, IP address, or technical request information when their services are used.
PDF Maps and Local Storage
When you select a PDF map, GeoPDF Maps stores a local copy of the selected file and related map tile information on your device so that the map can be reopened without selecting the PDF again.
These files are stored locally inside the app's private storage area. They are not automatically uploaded to our server.
If the app cannot read usable georeference information from a PDF, it may show a support message asking you to email the PDF to GeoKyma for review. Sending a PDF to us is optional and only happens if you choose to email it yourself.
You can remove saved maps from within the app by deleting the relevant map tile.
Basemaps and Mapbox
GeoPDF Maps can display optional online basemaps, including topographic and satellite basemaps. These basemaps are provided through Mapbox.
When an online basemap is enabled, Mapbox may receive technical information required to provide map content, such as your device's IP address, requested map locations, app requests, device information, and related usage information.
GeoPDF Maps may cache some basemap data on your device to reduce repeated network requests and improve performance.

Firebase Services
GeoPDF Maps uses Firebase services to improve reliability, understand app usage, configure app behavior, and support subscription entitlements.
Firebase services used by the app may include:
- Firebase Analytics: used to understand app interactions and feature usage.
- Firebase Crashlytics: used to collect crash logs, nonfatal errors, diagnostics, device information, and app state information to help diagnose and fix problems.
- Firebase Remote Config: used to update app configuration values without releasing a new app version.
- Firebase Authentication: used for anonymous app authentication. This does not require you to create an account.
- Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions: used to store and verify Standard subscription entitlement status.
Firebase may process technical information such as app instance identifiers, anonymous user identifiers, device information, diagnostics, crash data, and usage events according to Google's privacy policies.

Subscriptions and Google Play Billing
GeoPDF Maps offers an optional Standard subscription. Standard removes ads and unlocks additional app features, including additional map tiles and online basemaps.
Subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. GeoPDF Maps does not receive or store your payment card details.
When you purchase, restore, or use a Standard subscription, the app may receive purchase and subscription status information from Google Play. GeoPDF Maps may verify the subscription using Firebase Cloud Functions and store entitlement status in Cloud Firestore under an anonymous app user identifier.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play.
Advertising, Google AdMob, and Mediation Partners
GeoPDF Maps uses Google AdMob to show ads, including banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads.
Rewarded ads may be used to unlock temporary app features, such as additional map tiles or online basemap access for a limited time.
Ads may be served through AdMob mediation partners. Current mediation partners may include InMobi and Unity Ads.
Google AdMob, InMobi, Unity Ads, and related advertising services may collect and process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, ad interactions, diagnostics, app information, and fraud-prevention data to provide, measure, personalize, and improve ads.

In-App Review
GeoPDF Maps may use Google Play's in-app review feature to ask whether you would like to leave a review after using the app several times. Review submission is handled by Google Play.
Internet Access
GeoPDF Maps can work with saved GeoPDF maps without an internet connection. Internet access is used for optional online basemaps, ads, subscription verification, Firebase services, and related third-party services.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
GeoPDF Maps may share data with third-party service providers only as needed for app functionality, advertising, diagnostics, subscriptions, and online basemaps, including:
- Google AdMob for advertising.
- InMobi and Unity Ads for mediated advertising.
- Firebase and Google Play services for analytics, crash reporting, app configuration, subscriptions, in-app review, and app platform functionality.
- Google Play Billing for subscription purchases and subscription management.
- Mapbox for online basemap content.
These third-party services process data according to their own privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
GeoPDF Maps is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
Data Retention
Saved PDF maps and related local files remain on your device until you remove them from the app or uninstall the app.
Subscription entitlement records may be retained while needed to provide subscription access, restore purchases, prevent abuse, and comply with platform or legal requirements.
If you email a PDF or support request to GeoKyma, we may retain that email and attachment as needed to review the issue, improve PDF compatibility, respond to you, and maintain support records.
Third-party services such as Google AdMob, Firebase, Google Play, InMobi, Unity Ads, and Mapbox may retain data according to their own retention policies.
Your Choices
You can:
- Deny or revoke location permission in your device settings.
- Use saved GeoPDF maps without enabling online basemaps.
- Remove saved map tiles from within the app.
- Choose whether to email unsupported PDFs to GeoKyma for review.
- Manage or cancel your Standard subscription through Google Play.
- Reset or limit your device advertising ID using your Android privacy settings.
- Uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data.
Security
GeoPDF Maps stores selected maps in the app's private storage area on your device. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we use platform-provided storage and permissions to protect local app data.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted by updating the effective date and policy text.
